With the rapid development of quantum computing, traditional cryptographic systems such as RSA and ECC face the disruptive risk of being broken by quantum computers, posing severe challenges to the security of critical information infrastructure worldwide. Meanwhile, as the "Belt and Road" initiative advances in depth, Chinese enterprises and institutions are rapidly expanding their overseas operations, making issues such as cross-border communication data security, communication coverage in remote areas, and multinational compliance adaptation increasingly prominent.
Traditional ground-based fiber quantum key distribution (QKD) networks are limited by geographical conditions and cannot achieve global wide-area coverage, while the maturation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation technology makes it possible to build a global wide-area quantum secure communication network. Against this background, integrating quantum security technology with commercial aerospace technology to build a space-ground integrated global quantum security communication network has become the core path to addressing global quantum security challenges.
Completed development of the Space Quantum Cloud (QSOC) Platform V1.0, with space-ground integrated quantum key scheduling capabilities; also completed Series A financing at a post-money valuation of RMB 1.65 billion, bringing in national-level industrial funds and industrial capital from China's three major telecom operators.
The "Guoxing Quantum-1" test satellite completed final assembly and testing; a launch service contract was signed with Galactic Energy, securing a launch window in the second half of 2026.
The independently developed QuantonLab QS001 quantum-resistant security chip was successfully taped out, natively integrating both Chinese national cryptographic and PQC algorithms at the hardware level — a first in China.
Completed pre-Series A financing at a post-money valuation of RMB 500 million; the funds are mainly used for test satellite development and quantum security chip R&D.
Completed development of an ultra-compact QKD payload with a volume of ≤3L and weight of ≤5kg, compatible with micro- and nano-satellite platforms, becoming the first private enterprise in China to engineer an ultra-compact satellite-borne QKD payload.
The engineering prototype of the independently developed 5kg-class satellite-borne QKD payload completed ground environmental testing, with core metrics reaching an internationally leading level.
Completed angel round financing at a post-money valuation of RMB 100 million, led by local state-owned capital; the funds are mainly used for core technology R&D and team building.
Hefei Guoxing Quantum Shield Technology Co., Ltd. was officially established in Hefei High-tech Zone. The core team comes from top institutions such as the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, focusing on space-ground integrated quantum security technology R&D.
